About Rural Action Community Based Organization (RACOBAO)
Rural Action Community Based Organization (RACOBAO) is a local NGO that was founded in 2008 after the phase out of Lutheran World Federation (LWF) from Rakai and Lyantonde districts. The two year process of transiting into a local NGO (RACOBAO) was started in 2006 after two external evaluations recommended that LWF to come up with an exit plan. With consultations from the local leadership and other key partners like Church of Uganda and the funding partners, this transition process was funded by DanChurchAid (DCA) and technically facilitated by Community Development Resource Network (CDRN).
